Head and Neck Manifestations of COVID-19: A Case-based Review

Description

Although the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) is first and foremost a respiratory virus, it has become increasingly evident that COVID-19 infection is linked to a myriad of short- and long-term effects outside of the respiratory system, including disorders of the immune system, coagulation system, heart, central nervous system, gastrointestinal system and the skin. In addition, people who have not contracted the virus have also noticed negative health outcomes for a number of reasons, including delayed treatments and the side effects of stress.

Join us for this live webinar where the presenters will use a case-based approach to review a series of common and rare head and neck pathologies that have been described in association with COVID-19 infection.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Describe common and rare lesions of the head and neck area that have been described in patients with COVID-19 infection.
  2. Discuss the pathophysiology of these conditions, especially as these may relate to COVID-19 infection.
  3. Evaluate the management and prognosis of these conditions.
