appeal of the flipped classroom approach as an educational tool centers on its
ability to increase engagement, optimize the time for in-class instruction and
improve student mastery. Implementation, however, is often difficult. Where do
you begin and what technologies best support a flipped classroom?
In this webinar, we present a case study on how an online module created through Voicethread, a cloud-based learning tool for enhancing student engagement, was used to teach the concept and technique of taking a Centric Relation Record. Subsequent time in the classroom and clinic was used to deepen students’ understanding of the technique, and survey data revealed that the approach improved students’ skills.
