Ask the Expert On-Demand Webinar: Beyond Closed-Loop Stimulation-New Research Avenues and Clinical Insights Utilizing Ambulatory Ecog From RNS On-Demand Webinar

Released: June 1, 2022
Recorded: May 27, 2022
Expiration Date: June 1, 2025

About This Webinar
Ever since its FDA approval in 2014, the brain-responsive neurostimulation (RNS) device has not just expanded the spectrum of available treatments for refractory epilepsy, but also provided new research avenues based on an ever-expanding database of chronic, ambulatory electrocorticography (ECog) data recorded by the RNS devices. In this 1-hour live webinar we will have an expert in RNS treatment and research provide you with clinical and management insights for epilepsy care derived from ambulatory ECog-data recorded by the RNS device followed by a moderated audience discussion on the topic.

Presenter
Dr. Vikram Rao, MD, PhD
University of California, San Francisco

Learning Objectives:
At the end of this webinar, attendees should be able to:

  • Discuss how ambulatory ECog-data captured by the brain-responsive neurostimulation (RNS) device can inform medical, neuromodulatory and surgical management of epilepsy
  • Describe how ambulatory ECog-data captured by the brain-responsive neurostimulation (RNS) device can reveal natural seizure patterns and contribute to seizure prediction
