About This e-Module
In this interactive e-module, you will be introduced to the physiological concepts and seizure patterns indicative of Catamenial Epilepsy (CE). Further, you will learn how to identify the most common presentations of CE as well as the frequently discussed hormonal and non-hormonal treatment approaches for CE. While there are no formal, evidence-based guidelines on the treatment of CE, this e-module offers a practical approach to provide patients with an individualized treatment plan for their epilepsy.

Learning Objectives

• Describe the basic physiological concepts of the menstrual cycle and how they pertain to the most common patterns of CE
• Obtain patient information and interpret data points to help with the identification of the most common patterns of CE
• Apply the appropriate treatment option for CE-hormonal or non-hormonal based on the patient's history
