Tips for Managing Trade Secrets in an Insecure World. A presentation from the Front & Center Discussion Series. - With growing obstacles facing patent enforcement, trade secret protection is getting renewed interest. But traditional security and risk management controls are only part of the story. Under U.S. and international law, the legal protections afforded to a company’s trade secrets are directly dependent on whether the company itself has taken “reasonable steps” to protect that information. Cybersecurity protection has become a priority as well.
