This program will help to confirm the consistency and quality of how AMC Accreditation reviews are performed and will highlight tips on creating an environment where the reviewer’s visit and engagement can be approached in a consistent format, creating efficiency for all involved.

Sue's career has included a long and successful history with professional services firms. She worked for over 30 years in the "association management" world; however she did so in the capacity of an Executive VP of a for-profit association management company (AMC). Thus, she understands both the non-profit world of associations and the for-profit service firm objectives. After retiring from Fernley & Fernley (F&F), a 5th generation family business focused on managing professional and trade associations/societies, Sue decided to pursue her love for her city/hometown in a part-time sales role for the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau (PCVB). In addition to her part-time role at the PCVB, Sue accepted a position as the Director of Client Services at the MandMarblestone Group llc (MMG). Sue has received the 2009 AMC Institute Lifetime Achievement Award and the 2008 Leadership Award from the ASAE - AMC Section Council.

Bill Barnes is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, and has earned both CPA and CMA (Certified Management Accountant) certificates. He has worked in a large international CPA firm, a Fortune 100 manufacturer and a large consulting firm prior to joining Barnes, Givens & Barnes, CPA’s. Bill’s background has helped him assist clients succeed in many areas of their businesses by providing personalized, quality service. In addition to manufacturing, Bill has advised non-profits, associations, professionals, transportation companies, contractors, distributors, printers and retailers. He has assisted individuals with tax, estate and succession planning and has served as a trustee and executor. Bill has taught several college-level accounting courses, served as a board member for several non-profit organizations, presented at association industry conferences, presented at Illinois State Bar Association conferences, written articles for association management periodicals, and performed accreditation reviews for several association management companies.
