The Role of Eosinophils and Their Potential Heterogeneity in Airway Disease

Description

Eosinophils are increasingly being recognized as important in the pathophysiology of various airway diseases and an important cell type in disease endotypes. This presentation will focus on an overview of Type 2 inflammation, the role of eosinophils in asthma and the potential relationship of eosinophils in COPD. Additionally, a review of eosinophil heterogeneity, as well as their role in immunoregulatory and homeostatic functions will be discussed.
