Description

This lecture will introduce the biologic classification of soft tissue graft briefly and then highlight the clinical applications of connective tissue graft to enhance esthetics, increase keratinized tissue and prevent /correct the mucosal recession around the dental implant. The principles, procedures and technique notes of applying the connective tissue graft in implant dentistry will be addressed via not only clinical slides but also surgical clips and animations.

Upon completion of this presentation, participants should be able to: 1) discuss the indications, clinical procedures of using connective tissue graft around dental implants; 2) recognize technique notes that influence the outcome of connective tissue grafts in implant dentistry; and 3) select optimal donor sites and incorporate this specific graft into daily practice.

    Dr. Tseng received his D.D.S. degree from Taipei Medical University, College of Dentistry. He is the member of The Phi Tau Phi Scholastic Honor Society and the Executive Supervisor and the member of Board Certification Committee of Taiwan Academy of Osseointegration. He was the visiting staff in Taipei City Hospital. Dr.Tseng is the former Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Taiwan Osseointegration and board director of The Association of Gnathology (ROC). He publishes peer review articles and lectures featuring crown lengthening, soft tissue grafting and esthetic implant dentistry .He is the research collaborator of the Graduate Periodontics at the University of Michigan and maintains private practice in Taipei, limited to periodontics and dental implants.
