In this presentation we will discuss the indications for alveolar ridge preservation and immediate implant placement. Bio-material selection, surgical technique, and timing of implant placement will be highlighted with a clinical emphasis on practical and predictable techniques.
Upon completion of this presentation, participants should be able to: 1) identify the clinical situations in which alveolar ridge preservation is indicated; 2) describe the clinical situations in which immediate implant placement is indicated; and 3) select an appropriate surgical management technique and biomaterial for specific clinical situations.
