Description

This presentation will be focused on those surgical factors that are easier and more predictable maxillary sinus floor techniques.How these factors influence the consolidation of the graft used, prevent accidents and complications of these techniques and increase the long-term survival of implants placed in this location will be addressed. The choice of biomaterial suitable for these techniques will be discussed.

Upon completion of this presentation, participants should be able to: 1) discuss biological factors involved in the maxillary sinus to improve the final outcome; 2) explain which biomaterials are more effective in this surgical procedure; and 3) describe the more common complications and solutions.

  • Pablo Galindo-Moreno, DDS, PhD

    Dr. Pablo Galindo-Moreno graduated from University of Granada, Spain, in 1993, obtaining a DDS degree. He received his PhD in 1999, after finishing his program in Oral Surgery. Currently, he is chairman at the Dept of Oral Surgery and Implant Dentistry, in Granada, Spain, and Associate Visiting Professor at University of Iowa, as Adjunct Clinical Professor at University of Michigan. He has published more than 200 publications, mainly based in Oral regeneration and periimplantitis.
