Course Description
Remote hearings have become the
new normal for many judges and litigants due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This
interactive conversation will discuss the rapid expansion of remote courts, the
impact on court users, and the promise and pitfalls of online courts to achieve
equal access to justice for all.
Learning Objectives
As a result of this course,
participants will be able to:
- Compare the advantages and disadvantages of online courts in improving access to justice
- Prepare for advances in technology and the possible long-term use of remote courts
