Course Description
This is a course for new employees to the judicial branch regularly engaged in performing legal research to carryout their job function. This course will provide participants with the information and skills required to successfully perform legal research on the computer assisted legal research (CALR) platform(s) utilized by the judicial branch. This course will also introduce participants to secondary sources of information and how to utilize those sources of information to locate primary legal authority. Finally, this course will expose participants to library resources for assistance with researching legal issues and obtaining legal authority.

As a result of this course, participants will be able to:
1. Utilize a full spectrum of resources to conduct basic legal research effectively and efficiently into common legal issues presented to the courts.
