Course Description: Why do presenters rely on lectures to the
exclusion of other learning activities such as small groups, case studies,
debates, learning games, etc.? Presenters should design effective learning
activities that help the students achieve the learning objectives. Learning
objectives define what the students will learn. The learning activities define
how the students will achieve those learning objectives. The faculty for this
webinar will demonstrate several learning activities that improve learning
outcomes as well as comprehension and retention.

(1) describe why the lecture method is used to exclusion of other methods
(2) summarize how the design of my learning activities will aid my learners
