Presenter Information:
Veronica Sanchez is the founder of the Service Dog Coaching Certificate, an educational program for dog trainers offered by Cooperative Paws. She teaches professional dog trainers how to train service dogs and how to incorporate service dog training into their pet dog training business. Veronica has been training pets, service and therapy dogs for over 20 years. She has trained service dogs for a wide range of needs including mobility, hearing, neurological problems and a dual guide-mobility dog.
Veronica has a Masters degree in Education and a Bachelors in Psychology from George Mason University. She also has a Certificate in Brain Research in Education from the University of Washington. Veronica was a founding member of the Working Animal Division of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants and served as a Vice President of the association.
Veronica’s interest in the field of service and therapy work is both personal and professional. She has a progressive neurological movement disorder and she trained several of her own dogs as service dogs. She lives with her husband and pack of 4 collies in Northern Virginia.
