Course Description

Clinicians who complete this course will be able to recognize deep core anatomy and physiology related to common pelvic health diagnoses, develop skills for pelvic health subjective interviewing, identify objective measures to assess various pelvic health diagnoses, and apply pelvic rehabilitation concepts in the orthopedic rehab setting. This course is geared toward clinicians of all skill levels and specialties who are interested in understanding how to appropriately screen, treat, and refer out patients presenting with pelvic health dysfunctions.

Course Objectives

• Recognize deep core and pelvic floor anatomy and physiology related to common diagnoses
• Develop skill for pelvic health subjective interviewing to guide intervention selection or appropriate referral
• Identify objective measures to assess for pelvic health diagnoses
• Apply pelvic examination rehabilitation concepts in the orthopedic rehab setting

  • Dr. Jordan Miller, PT, DPT, PRPC

    Dr. Jordan Miller, PT, DPT, PRPC (she/her) received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from OldDominion University and has since earned the Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification from Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute (HW). Dr. Miller now serves as Athletico’s Pelvic Health Program Manager. She leverages her expertise in pelvic health to lead Athletico's multidisciplinary teams toward improved clinician and patient satisfaction, to develop and teach curriculum that promotes clinical and professional development, to strategize for operational success, to design and implement projects to improve all aspects of the pelvic health service line, and to streamline growth of pelvic health services across the nation. She is also an active member of Athletico’s Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity team, and maintains membership with APTA andthe Academy of Pelvic Health. Outside of her role as a physical therapist, Dr. Millers serves as a Senior Teaching Assistant for HW, an Advisory Board Member for the Carroll Community College physical therapy assistant program, and an adjunct professor for Old Dominion University's DPT program. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, running, thrifting, playing basketball, and nerding out with some sci fi novels.
