This lecture will provide a brief introduction to the DSM-5, the current diagnostic manual used in psychiatry. Learners will gain an understanding of personality disorders, mood disorders, and trauma-related disorders. Additionally, this lecture will provide examples of areas of overlap between these psychiatric disorders and the legal profession.
