This is an overview of the use of mediation in the circuit courts of Arkansas. The presentation is comprised of a panel of trial judges who will speak about their experiences with the process. The judges will give insight, based upon their experience, of when mediation is a better option than a litigated resolution to the case. In their experience, what and when it works best and circumstances to avoid, e.g.:

• How to prepare your client, and yourself, for mediation.
• The beginning or the end - when should you request mediation?
• How and when Judges Utilize Mediation
• Things an Attorney should not say or do during Mediation.
