Because preserving permanent and long-term digital information is so expensive, establishing credibility for repository operations must include demonstrating financial sustainability. Defensible business models and financial plans and practices must therefore be in place for day-to-day operations as well as the long haul. This session identifies costing models and funding approaches for trusted digital preservation repositories to help you plan and budget for sufficient staffing and infrastructure to sustain and ensure access to long-term electronic records.
