Description
Chronic venous disease (CVD) affects over a quarter of the adult population and ranges from varicose vein disease to venous ulceration. Most of the manifestations of CVD affect the skin of the lower extremity and are apparent on physical exam. All dermatologists should have a good working knowledge of the diagnosis and conservative management of CVD. Almost all patients with CVD benefit from compression therapy.
