Panelists discuss topics pertaining to increasing the dialogue of diversity in one's own practice as well as in one's own private life, as well as how to engage colleagues and friends in activities that can promote acceptance and understanding of different backgrounds ethnicities cultures genders and sexual orientation.

  • Summarize the need for cultural competency and broadening one's diversity understanding and the importance of diversity when hiring staff and physicians in a practice.
  • Recognize the need to make your practice more inclusive to all patients.
  • Formulate a strategy for engaging your colleagues, friends, and family in a dialogue about diversity.
