You’ve likely heard that networking is essential as a scientist. You’re also likely preparing for many networking events. ABRCMS Online presents an interactive webinar designed to take you through some setting-specific networking principles.

Webinar participants will:

  • Participate in guided networking interactions
  • Learn about the different settings for networking
  • Explore tools for networking in different settings
  • Discuss effective follow-up strategies after attending networking events

Dr. Shawna Cox, Assistant Dean at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus

As Assistant Dean for the Anschtuz Medical Campus, Dr. Cox oversees degree progress and student conduct for graduate students in 19 PhD programs and 7 Masters programs. The mission of the office is:

  • To support students at all stages of their progress into and through the Graduate School by providing prompt, accurate responses to inquiries and by creating and equitably applying policies and procedures that govern the student experience.
  • To serve Graduate School training faculty through my service on campus committees and as a liaison with the other academic entities on campus.
  • To forge new relationships to increase the diversity of trainees in the Graduate School and increase the visibility of our programs locally, regionally and nationally.
