ASNR22/SNRXXII: Diversity & Inclusion Programming: Ageism and the ASNR: Addressing Barriers and Interactions from Post Millennials to Boomers

ASNR22/SNRXXII: Diversity & Inclusion Programming: Ageism and the ASNR: Addressing Barriers and Interactions from Post Millennials to Boomers

Description & Learning Objectives
Neuroradiology is not exempt from the changes related to the aging workforce. Ageism is real and on our doorstep. The impact on individuals, training and practice will be discussed, with an emphasis on intergenerational communication and novel solutions to mitigate the problem. Interactive case vignettes and a faculty panel will be used to provide practical guidance.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will gain strategies to:
-Explore the issues of ageism in radiology and medicine and the impact on radiology practice and training.
-Discuss barriers to intergeneration teaching and learning and techniques for mitigation.
-Identify action items to reduce generational friction in the workplace.
-Examine ageism within the framework of Equality Diversity and Inclusion. How does ageism compound, amplify, or facilitate racism, exclusion, and non-diverse environments.
Instructions for Participation
To complete this activity, learners will watch a recording of a live conference session and submit a course evaluation. Once all elements are completed, a certificate will be automatically added to your transcript.
