Description

This one-hour webinar reviews specification interpretation and discusses how to develop internal procedures as required by many industry codes and component manufacturing specifications.

Most NDT professionals are familiar with SNT-TC-1A as a document comprising a series of “should” statements. This program interprets the shalls of ASNT Recommended Practice SNT-TC-1A, based on ASNT’s published materials on the intent of the document. The presentation is designed to help the employer’s Level III understand implementation of SNT-TC-1A in the following areas:

  1. Determine the requirements, responsibilities, and role of the certification authority.
  2. Develop the written practice to meet qualification requirements, which are becoming more strict in the code industry.
  3. Conduct personnel qualification, certification, technical performance reviews, and recertification for all NDT certification levels.

This webinar is intended to provide structure for new Level IIIs with the assumption that the NDT professional needs more guidance on interpreting the standard.
