Michael Allgaier
Mike is a highly certified and experienced training instructor with expertise in multiple NDT methods. He has held ACCP NDT Level III certification in Visual Testing and NDT Level III certification in five methods through GPU Nuclear, where he served as a corporate NDT Level III for over 25 years. Currently, he actively contributes to ASNT as a Mentor and Chairman of the T&E Council/Visual Committee, while also serving on the newly formed Accreditation Training Organization. With a diverse industrial background encompassing nuclear power generation, petrochemical processing, aerospace, marine, fossil energy, and military markets, Mike has held significant positions such as Director of Training and Certification, Training Manager, NDE Instruction Training Manager, and QA Engineer. He served over twenty years at a nuclear power generation company and began his career as an NDT inspector in the United States Navy. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a Master of Science from the Jersey Institute of Technology. His contributions to ASNT have earned him prestigious honors, including the ASNT Fellow Award, George L. Pherigo Tutorial Citation, and Mentoring award.
