  • Pamela Kaul Founder, President & CEO, Association Strategies, Inc.

    Pamela offers three decades of experience in executive search, transition management, and organization development. As President & Founder, she pioneered ASI’s unique systems-based approach to executive search, and since founding the company in 1986, she has successfully applied it to deliver superior talent to hundreds of leading associations, foundations, NGOs and philanthropic institutions. A recognized specialist in organizational assessment and development programs, Pamela has piloted hundreds of clients through CEO and Board organizational assessments, Board recruitment, and paradigm shifts requiring business acumen, cultural sensitivity, and awareness of the uniqueness of individual environments.
    Recognized as a leader in the field, Pamela was awarded ASAE’s Industry Partner of the Year in 2011, is a founding member of the National Non-Profit Search Consultants (NNSC), and has recently spearheaded a major research initiative, Leadership 2020, to identify CEO competencies for effective nonprofit leaders in 2020. The first of its kind, the study surveyed three groups: emerging leaders, current CEO’s and volunteer leaders. Preliminary findings were released, with several study groups and a toolkit to follow in the months ahead.
    Pamela served a 3-year term on the Nominating Committee for SCORE, currently serves on the boards of the Guide Dog Foundation/America’s Vet Dogs, and Strings, a performing arts organization., and is an industry advisor to Boards, Committees and CEO’s. She is a frequent speaker and presenter for business and professional organizations and a requested presenter at national conferences and national/international meetings. A former columnist for Associations Now, formerly Association Management magazine, 
    Pamela has many personal passions, namely, industry research and the creation of new models of practice, a number of philanthropic causes and a home in the mountains of CO. She holds a BS degree in Communications from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and splits her time between Chicago, IL and Alexandria, VA.

  • Paul Pomerantz, FACHE, FASAE

    Paul Pomerantz is CEO of the American Society of Anesthesiologists®(ASA®). He received a Master of Business Administration specializing in health administration from Temple University, after which he served in executive roles at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and Medical College of Pennsylvania (now Drexel). Pomerantz has held CEO roles at the Drug Information Association, American Society of Plastic Surgeons, Society of Interventional Radiology, and Clinical Laboratory Management Association.

    Pomerantz is also active in healthcare and professional leadership. In recent years, he served as chair of the Center for Association Leadership (ASAE Foundation) and treasurer of the National Health Council (NHC). He also served on the board of ASAE Business Services, Inc, and the ASA Power of A committee. He currently serves as chair-elect of Association Forum (Chicago) where he also serves as Chair of the Health Collaborative. He is a frequent speaker and writer on topics of association, healthcare leadership, governance, and strategy.

  • Loretta DeLuca, FASAE, Founder and CEO, DelCor Technology Solutions, Inc.

    As DelCor’s founder and CEO, Loretta is the inspiration for our work with associations and nonprofits. She has a particular interest in mission-critical business systems, such as AMS, and is an advocate for project management for complex IT projects.
    Loretta has served on ASAE’s Board of Directors and chaired a number of ASAE committees. For her exemplary support of the association community, Loretta received ASAE's 2015 Academy of Leaders Award and was named TRENDS 2017 Association Partner of the Year. She was named an ASAE Fellow in 2007, an honor bestowed upon less than one percent of ASAE’s membership.
    Loretta’s commitment to the local community is evidenced in both her personal and professional endeavors. She serves on the Board of Visitors of Children’s National Medical Center and previously served on the Board of Directors of Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic.
    She has a B.S. in Business Management from the University of Maryland, Summa Cum Laude.

  • Matt Sanderson, President & CEO

    Matt Sanderson has more than 23 years of business development, strategy and leadership experience. The common thread throughout his career has been serving clients and leading change – including both growth and performance-improvement efforts.
    He joined SmithBucklin in 2010 and, most recently, served as executive vice president & chief executive of SmithBucklin’s Business + Trade Industry Practice. In that role, he led all aspects of the practice, including strategy, client organization service delivery and performance, new client development, talent development and acquisition, operational excellence, financial management and thought leadership.
    Previously, he served as executive vice president of the Print Services & Distribution Association, a trade association focused on the reseller supply chain for print, marketing and business communications. In addition, he has worked with many client organizations across a range of industries with a focus on growth strategies and performance improvement.
    Prior to joining SmithBucklin, Matt served as a director with Sikich Investment Banking (formerly Levi Littell Herbst & Company) where he worked with owners of small- and mid-sized businesses across a wide variety of industries. Matt also served as business development lead for Navteq (later acquired by Nokia), where he was instrumental in the launch of a location-based traffic service for GPS devices.
    Matt holds a Master of Business Administration in finance from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Pomona College in Claremont, Calif.
