She has been with ASA for 10 years and has transformed the Human Resources department from transactional HR to strategic HR. She and her team have spent the last 3 years focusing on the organization's culture: defining where they were, where they aspire to be and closing those gaps. As a result of these efforts the American Society of Anesthesiologists was just named one of Chicago's and the Nation’s Best and Brightest Companies To Work For ®. Sara's next Human Resources initiative is shifting from traditional performance management to a focus on performance development through ongoing conversations, coaching and mentoring of staff.
