Natale, CAE on the topic of mentoring relationships. Dolan has served as
Natale’s mentor since they met while both working at the American College of
Healthcare Executives (ACHE). They discuss the importance of the mentoring
relationship and how that relationship can bolster the professional and
personal growth of both the mentor and mentee.

Michelle Mason, FASAE, CAE
President and CEO, Association Forum Michelle Mason is the President and CEO of Association Forum. Association Forum is the “association of associations” in Chicago. Founded in 1916, it has nearly 4,000 members. Prior to Association Forum, Michelle served as a managing director at the American Society for Quality (ASQ). In this role, she concentrated on business development, membership, component relations, innovation, advocacy, social responsibility, and process improvement efforts. Prior to she was Vice President of Strategic and Future Focused Research at the American Society for Association Executives (ASAE).
Thomas C. Dolan, PhD, FACHE, FASAE
Thomas C. Dolan, PhD, FACHE, FASAE, is an executive coach and consultant dedicated to assisting aspiring servant leaders to advance their and their organization’s objectives. He is also president emeritus of the American College of Healthcare Executives, an international professional society of more than 40,000 healthcare executives who lead hospitals, healthcare systems and other healthcare organizations. He served as president and chief executive officer from 1991 to 2013. Before his appointment as president and CEO, he served as ACHE’s executive vice president. Prior to joining ACHE, he held a variety of teaching, research, and administrative positions at St. Louis University, the University of Missouri-Columbia, the University of Washington and the University of Iowa. Dr. Dolan is board certified in healthcare management and a Fellow of both the American College of Healthcare Executives and the American Society of Association Executives. He is also a Certified Association Executive.
Kari Natale, CAE
Kari Natale, CAE, joined the Illinois CPA Society almost eight years ago and she is the Director of Planning and Governance and the Director of the CPA Endowment Fund of Illinois. Prior to this role, she worked for the American College of Healthcare Executives. She has a master’s of nonprofit management degree from DePaul University and, in 2016, she was named a Forty Under 40 Awardee by the Association Forum/USAE.
