V-EDU-40: The AT Toolbox: Top AT Tools that Engage and Empower Complex Learners

Overview

We believe all students can become more independent and confident learners. By providing students with opportunities to explore different kinds of assistive technology tools that support their learning needs, doors can open for those with highly complex profiles who may be socially/emotionally fragile. Using specific resources can help determine which AT Tool from the toolbox helps support learners in both a digital and print-based-text world. A toolbox approach enables a learner to complete tasks that they could not have otherwise completed independently. Tools that are user-friendly and minimize the number of steps required help to engage and empower learners.
