Overview
We spend so much time focusing on the here and now, accommodating students in their environment. What happens to those student's when we are gone? People with a variety of disabilities are moving into the collegiate and work world. How do we teach and emphasize the importance of assistive technology for their future success because You Can't Take Your Case Manager with you! This session will given information on transition, like that information to assistive technology, and discuss ways for students to transfer their use of AT to their next big adventure.

Biography
Sayard began her career as a speech pathologist and through her passion for AAC found the world of assistive technology. She currently works for a large educational cooperative south of Chicago, co-teaches a class at University of Illinois -Chicago AT Certificate Program. She also presents webinars for a variety of organizations on the topic of Assistive Technology. Her favorite project at the moment is working on the QIAT-PS which will be discussed in the presentation. She lives with her husband and two children west of Chicago.
