Modern Mindfulness for the Rest of Us: Recreation Therapists Approach to Teaching Mind-Body Techniques (.3 CEUs)

With the growing popularity of wellness and mind-body techniques, Recreation Therapists are poised to embrace complementary and integrative methods. Two recreation therapists will share their approach to an entry-level mindfulness-based stress management course and share the growing evidence base, tips and tricks of facilitation, and personal practice.

Upon completion of the module, participants will be able to:
1. Identify at least three techniques to introduce mindfulness to clients
2. Articulate at least one beneficial outcome of daily mindfulness practices
3. Define how mindfulness can be used as a coping mechanism for stress management
