A Path to Success for Commissioning High Rise Multifamily Construction Projects

In Multifamily building construction, as with all other building types, the commissioning process should be thoughtfully tailored for each project depending on the complexity of the building, sophistication of the construction manager, general contractor, the trades, and the budget.

A typical scope of work and standard practices can be implemented across different types of projects, but day-to-day methods have to be customizable and flexible; otherwise, the commissioning provider (CxP) will lose the attention and buy-in of the construction team. The owner has the best chance to shape this process and ensure their project will succeed before construction begins.

During this presentation, we will discuss some challenges that have arisen due to these variables and some examples of lessons learned in High Rise Multifamily new construction projects in the New York City region.
