Description

Within a hospital, there are few systems more important than the Medical Gas Systems. These systems directly affect patient care, are used in life-saving procedures, and support doctors and nurses on their day-to-day tasks. Understanding the design, installation, commissioning, and certification of these systems is of the utmost importance to hospital operation and patient safety and care. Knowing the systems and what the Department of Health (DOH) will be reviewing and auditing will help with the turn-over, occupation, and certification of the facility. This presentation will provide information on the gas systems, codes, design, installation, commissioning tasks, and the required certification process.
