Description
Commissioning electrical systems is key to the proper
operation of a building. Each electrical system is different and varies
in complexity and therefore requires review and functional testing by the
commissioning provider. This presentation will focus on the review and
functional testing of normal electrical and emergency power systems, using
real world examples.
Rich Widlowski and David Cohen will describe the role of the
commissioning provider during the startup and functional testing phase of the
project. Specific examples will highlight what to watch for during
commissioning, and how to verify performance beyond simply meeting code
requirements.
The presentation will detail the benefits and execution
of circuit breaker validation, loss of normal power testing, and review when
and how to utilize load banks during testing.
