The Commissioning Process in Codes and Standards

Description

The Commissioning Process is now being included as a requirement in multiple codes, best practices, guidelines, and standards. This webinar reviews how the commissioning process is used in many of the ICC codes, various building rating systems, as well as, many ASHRAE and other national standards and guidelines. Learn how you can and should apply these new or revised codes and standards. See how many of the deliverables you already provide to the owner can be used for compliance to code officials – allowing provider to continue to offer competitive pricing.

    Gerald J. Kettler has over 45 years of management and professional level experience in the design, construction, testing, commissioning, and operation of physical facilities. He is a licensed professional engineer in 9 states and certified in many specialties including commissioning, test and balance and environmental management. He has performed commissioning provider and other USGBC LEED administration functions for over 300 LEED projects and is a LEED Fellow. He has been active on many ASHRAE and other organizations’ committees that develop industry wide guidelines, codes and standards. He served as chair of the ASHRAE SSPC 300 committee on Commissioning and the ICC Guideline 4 committee developing commissioning instructions for building officials. “Jerry” is the author of the BCxA/ASHRAE publication, “Commissioning Stakeholder’s Guide.”
