EFT: Cracking the Code of Love in Couples and Families Presented by George Faller, LMFT- 6 CE Hours

Workshop Description:
EFT, developed by Sr. Susan Johnson over the past 25years, is one of the most empirically validated models of couples therapy in the world. Focusing on identifying repetitive negative patterns of interaction and replacing them with positive cycles of responsiveness, EFT provides a simple and powerful mechanism for change.
Participants will learn to apply the language of attachment to effect change with their most challenging relationships. Making extensive use of videotapes, role-plays, and experiential exercises, participants will both see and practice the skills of EFT, a model that is getting worldwide attention for its ability to transform relationships.

Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:
1Identify the key assumptions of attachment theory as it applies to adult relationships.
2. Identify the assumptions, stages, and steps of EFT, as well as key change events.
3. Articulate key interventions that help clients to reprocess key emotional responses.
4. Describe key interventions that help clients to restructure key attachment interactions.
5. Identify common therapeutic impasses in EFT and how to address them and implement EFT interventions in clinical exercises and case examples.
