Workshop Description -
Dave Jensen will stress the importance of the psychotherapist's role as a creator of legal and ethical outcomes, whether for good or for ill. In particular, he will instruct attendees on the ten fundamentals of practicing legally, ethically, safely, and confidently. This course will also cover the important subjects of patients who are dangerous to themselves and patients who are dangerous to third parties, and provide attendees with an overview of the BBS administrative hearing process. This six-hour workshop will meet the BBS' requirement for law and ethics.

Learning Objectives - This workshop is designed to help you:
1. Recognize the importance of the psychotherapist’s role and their effect on good or bad legal and ethical outcomes.
2. Identify the ten fundamentals of practicing legally, ethically, safely and confidently.
3. Recognize the differences between patients who are dangerous to themselves and patients who are a danger to third parties.
4. Summarize the BBS administrative hearing process as it applies to therapy.
