  • Rebecca Toporek, PhD

    Rebecca Toporek, PhD, is a professor in the Department of Counseling at San Francisco State University. As a counselor, psychologist, counselor educator and community partner, her scholarship focuses on multicultural training, participatory practices, privilege, social justice advocacy, and employment counseling. Ms. Toporek is co-editor and co-founder for the Journal for Social Action in Counseling and Psychology and co-editor of three books on multicultural training and social justice, has written or co-written over 45 journal articles and book chapters, and co-authored the Advocacy Competencies (American Counseling Association). She has presented nationally and internationally on multiculturalism, social justice and career counseling.
