Description

PLEASE NOTE: REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE 10 AM ET THE DAY OF THE WEBINAR

The webinar is also intended to provide updates on A.M. Best’s Capital Adequacy Rating (“BCAR”), Enterprise Risk Management (“ERM”) and “Innovation” Considerations on Company Ratings.

Earlier this year, AM Best announced the development of a BCAR (Best’s Capital Adequacy Ratio) stress test to gauge the immediate impact of COVID-19 on rated insurers’ financial strength, as well as to indicate sensitivities and highlight areas that may need further examination.

This session will provide a discussion on the above including, but not be limited to:

  • Industry outlook changes in the wake of COVID-19
  • Early leanings from the integration of the Innovation Criteria into the BCRM (Best Credit Rating Methodology)
  • Industry Reserve Development (by line) and recent changes to BCAR (adding wildfire and inland flood to requested PMLs)
  • Considerations of the Enterprise Risk Management Criteria into the BCRM
Considerations of these topics in companies’ ratings will be discussed in an interactive dialogue with the audience.
