Contributors Victor Carter-Bey Victor Carter-Bey, DM, MBA, serves as chief executive officer of the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS), where he works alongside the CAS Board of Directors to implement strategic initiatives that add professional value and enhance the education of CAS’s 9,000 members. Prior to this role, Carter-Bey served as director of certification at the Project Management Institute (PMI), where he oversaw the development and implementation of product growth and workforce development strategies to enhance member value and engagement for over 1,000,000 global professionals in the project management profession. Carter-Bey has a Doctor of Management from University of Maryland Global Campus in Adelphi, Maryland and an MBA from the New York University Stern School of Business in New York City. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. Steven Armstrong Steven D. Armstrong, FCAS, MAAA, is the current president of the Casualty Actuarial Society. Armstrong is currently vice president, product integration and management at Allstate Insurance Company in Northbrook, Illinois. Previous roles include chief pricing actuary for personal lines, agriculture, mortgage services, and crop at QBE and global chief pricing actuary - consumer insurance at AIG. Armstrong is a longtime CAS volunteer, having served multiple terms on examination and professional education committees over the last 20 years. Armstrong also recently served on the CAS Board of Directors from 2011-2014 and on the CAS Executive Council as vice president-admissions from 2014-2017. Jessica Leong The Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) has announced the results of its elections, with Jessica Leong, FCAS, being named president-elect for 2019-2020. Leong will go on to serve as CAS president for 2020-2021. Leong is currently lead data scientist at Zurich North America in New York, New York. Previous roles include serving as the lead casualty specialty actuary at Guy Carpenter and as a consultant at Milliman.Leong is a longtime CAS volunteer, having served terms on examination and professional education committees over the last 10 years. Leong also recently served on the CAS Board of Directors from 2014-2016 and on the Joint Program Committee for the CLRS Seminar as member, vice chair and chair from 2009-2013. Kathy Antonello Katherine H. Antonello has served as Executive Vice President, Chief Actuary at Employers Holdings, Inc. since August 2019. Prior to that, Kathy was chief actuary of NCCI and led the Actuarial and Economic Services division. Her division contributed to maintaining a healthy workers compensation system through the design and delivery of all actuarial and economic work at NCCI, including rate/loss cost filings, legislative analyses, compilation and analysis of insurance industry results, residual market reserving, actuarial products, analytics, and research. She earned her BS in mathematics from Birmingham-Southern College.She is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society, a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. Kathy currently serves on the board of directors of the Casualty Actuarial Society. She is the 2020-21 President-Elect for CAS.
