Thank you

This live web event has ended. Thank you for attending.

Description

PLEASE NOTE: REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE 10 AM ET THE DAY OF THE WEBINAR. DUE TO HIGH VOLUME OF DEMAND, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO GUARANTEE A SEAT TO THOSE WHO REGISTER 48 HOURS AHEAD OF THE WEBINAR TIME.

In the evolving diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) conversation, the focus is often on one pillar or another and not necessarily the fact that DEI is a Venn diagram. This session will focus on the dynamics of two components of DEI: Black and LGBTQ+ identity as it relates to the actuarial profession. We will cover personal experiences of our practitioners and the areas where diverse perspectives can impact the products and services we provide to the market.

This content provides knowledge and perspective that assist in identifying and assessing biases that may exist in data, assumptions, algorithms, and models that impact actuarial services, including statistical, cognitive, and social biases.

Learning Objectives:
  1. Provide knowledge and perspective on LGBTQ+ and Black experiences.
  2. Identify and assess biases that may exist in data, assumptions, algorithms, and models that impact actuarial services across many disciplines, including statistical, cognitive, and social biases.
