The CE Log is one of the most important document that an actuary needs to stay a top of, regardless of what segment of the industry they are in or who their employer is. With approximately 1% of the members being selected for review annually, we will explore this little known process in an easy-to-follow webinar. With this session, we will explore what the USQS requires and how an actuary can easily prepare its CE log to be ready for review, if selected.

  • Kenneth Hsu

    Mr. Kenneth Hsu, FCAS, CSPA, MAAA, is the Head of Actuarial at Breach Insurance, an insurtech start-up focusing on building regulated insurance solutions for the crypto and web3 industry. Kenneth has experience developing new insurance products and had rendered reserves opinions for unique insurance risks. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree from University of California, Riverside, and his Master’s degree from Columbia University. Kenneth enjoys hiking and playing board games in his spare time.

  • Mike Speedling

    Mike Speedling is a Director of Internal Audit at AXIS Capital. He has over 40 years of actuarial experience working in the property/casualty industry for insurance companies, consultancies and rating bureaus. Mike serves on many CAS Working Groups including the Professionalism Education Working Group, the CE Compliance Working Group, and the Learning Enhancement Process Mentors Working Group. He is an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS), a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA), a Chartered Property/Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), and a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).

  • Steven Zielke

    Steve Zielke, FCAS, CPCU, MAAA, is the President of Ultimate Consulting Corporation, a firm focused on insurance pricing and loss reserve analyses. UCC also educates non-actuaries on the fundamentals of actuarial work. His CAS volunteer service includes the Professionalism Education Working Group, Underwriting Collaboration Seminar Planning Committee, University Liaison Program and Syllabus and Exam Committee. Steve enjoys running, tennis, and golf in his spare time.

  • John Potter

    John Potter, FCAS, MAAA is a Manager with EY’s Insurance and Actuarial Advisory Services practice. John’s role primarily involves assessing insurance reserves for both insurance and corporate clients across several lines of business. He enjoys volunteering with the New Members Working Group, University Liaison Program, and Student Programs Task Force. Outside of work, John likes to play beach volleyball, watch Jeopardy, and spend time with his family.
