Essential Feline Diabetes Management: What’s New
in 2023
Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a common
disease encountered in feline medicine. It typically occurs in middle-aged,
overweight cats. Diabetes is a reversible condition if diagnosed and treated
early. This presentation explores the topic of feline diabetes in-depth and
provides attendees with key facts on the management of diabetes mellitus,
including pathophysiology, diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of feline
diabetic patients. Case vignettes will be used to illustrate key points. Dr.
Scott-Moncrieff will share her insights on recently approved therapies and how
this impacts feline diabetes management in 2023.
