This session will comprise an update on best practices for diagnosing three major feline viral infections of clinical significance: feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV), feline leukemia virus (FeLV), and feline infectious peritonitis (FIP). We will focus on outlining ABCD guidelines and diagnostic algorithms with special emphasis on the benefits and limitations of new testing modalities for FIP, and the recently elucidated challenges with single-test FeLV diagnosis.

- Describe the best methods used to diagnose FeLV and the challenges with relying on results from a single point in time.
