Public Policy impacts all of us in our daily living and our work environment in health care. Many see the headlines/news and seek either more in depth information or how to make their voices heard. This session intends to close that gap by discussing pertinent public policy issues and methods to spur communication with the appropriate legislators.
Learning Outcomes:
- Attendees will be able to define politics and distinguish from policy
- Learn to identify ways to effectively communicate with legislators
- Recognize how Public Policy and politics are an important part of a case manager’s professional practice
- Attendees will learn current legislative activities impacting case management
The Commission for Case Manager Certification (CCMC) is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
