Behavioral Health Treatment, specifically in relation to individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) has evolved significantly over the previous decade. The complexity of treatment for a diverse population of diagnosed individuals has consequentially increased and requires a multidisciplinary approach if global needs are to be met and significant progress to be made. This session will discuss the roles and responsibilities of the multidisciplinary team, all of which are integral to promote progress, achieving overall social significance and improved quality of life for these individuals.
Learning Outcomes:
- Describe the case manager’s contribution to a behavioral health treatment program and its value to families.
- Define the roles and responsibilities of members of the multidisciplinary team.
- Implement strategies to a therapeutic approach to behavior health treatment and apply the strategies to service recovery.
The Commission for Case Manager Certification (CCMC) is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
