Boundaries & Self Care: From Burnout to Thriving

Speaker:
Terri Cole, LCSW

We had a collective traumatic experience that changed us. It altered our perceptions, our desires, and how we want to live. Peak experiences, (like the pandemic and all that went with it) can provide an opportunity for accelerated growth and transformation. It’s your chance to create a “new normal” that might be more aligned with your truest self.

In this session, you will learn how to authentically express your preferences, needs, and limits so you can be accurately seen, heard, and understood as well as effectively manage the expectations of others. We will cover how healthy boundaries can help you with “people pleasing," overgiving, perfectionism, codependency, and avoiding burnout. By learning to proactively establish habits and gently set boundaries you will achieve and sustain more happiness and balance in your career and your daily life.

Learning Outcomes:
  • Understand what boundaries are and why they matter
  • Describe strategies you can take to support your emotional and mental health and move to a place of empowerment
  • Relate why boundaries are the ultimate act of self-care
