This course provides an overview of Vatican II’s dogmatic Constitution on the Church. The three lessons focus on the way the Church works to provide a better understanding of each person’s role and mission in the Church.
The Second Vatican Council (1962-1965) was the major event in the Church in the twentieth century. It is also perhaps the most misunderstood event as well. This course will examine Vatican II’s Constitution on the Church. The lessons explain how this Constitution deals with the way the Church works (People of God, hierarchy, laity, religious, and so on). Students who complete this course should be able to better understand one’s role in the Church and be able to exercise the mission given to all by reason of one’s Baptism.
