This webinar will include the short film and then a panel discussion about the issues it highlights. The film was released a year into the pandemic as our nation was in the depths of experiencing COVID-19's unequal death toll that had taken the lives of Black Americans at twice the rate of white Americans. That disparity — and the broader racial mortality gap that has existed for as long as health data has been recorded — is the result of systemic racism in housing, education and other social determinants of health.
