Climate Change and Health - Webinar for the Feast of St. Francis

1 Presentation 0 Sections

This webinar was broadcast on September 30, 2016. It addresses climate change as both a moral and health concern to Catholic health care providers. Our faith and professional commitments demand prudent action to reduce our carbon footprint in order to care for creation and protect the health of all.

The health impacts of climate change are being felt in our local communities and communities worldwide. In the summer of 2016 we again saw health-related illness and new vector-borne diseases. Climate change also threatens food security and contributes to chronic illness, including many respiratory diseases.
