CMDA Specialty Section, Fellowship of Christian Physician Assistants (FCPA) Mentorship Program hosted a webinar entitled, "Ethical Science, the Church, and COVID-19 Vaccines". In the first half of the webinar, Jeffrey Barrows, DO, MA (Ethics), who serves as Senior Vice President of Bioethics and Public Policy for CMDA, presented an ethical overview of the COVID-19 vaccines. This was followed by a time of Q&A regarding ethical dilemmas that PAs and PA students are facing during the pandemic and regarding the COVID-19 vaccines. The goal of the webinar was to equip FCPA members with the knowledge to discuss the science and ethics behind the vaccines with their patients, colleagues, and within their church communities.
